In addition, each member's records may include details about their representation
status in the bargaining unit, local union or national union. Some members may
include mention of their qualifications (ticket) and expiry date.
Multiple Entry Modes:
XPDNC Dues allows you to access the data in three modes. View mode permits users
to look but not touch the stored data records. In this mode, reports can be output
but the record values can not be altered. Edit mode permits users to change any or
all the values of the data records. In this mode, records can be added, removed or
altered as required. Query mode permits the user to access those records that match
a user-defined specification. The resulting records may then be output or manipulated
as required.
Search by Partial Names:
You may enter partial names to search by. For example, if searching for a member
named "Donaby, Phil", you may enter "..Phil.." or "Don.." to search for just the
portion you remember.
Multiple Search Keys:
When searching for existing dues records, XPDNC Dues allows you to search in a
multitude of ways. For member records, single key searches are by master number
or member name. For employer or bargaining unit remittance records searches are
by the multiple key of employer code, unit code, and dues month. Numerous other
search filters assist in quick access to the available data.
Backup/Restore Feature With Compression:
XPDNC Dues is able to backup a large database on floppy disks or other mass storage
device. Routine backups are essential to securing your valuable dues data, and
XPDNC Dues makes the process quick and easy. This feature also allows you to
easily retain copies of your dues data in cases of unforseen equipment or media
failure.
User-Defined Employer, Unit, and Pay Codes:
Any employer, bargaining unit and pay rate entered into the system can be
assigned to a member. In order to display as much relevent information on
the screen at a time, the employer, unit and rate are coded. This coding is
also required for many other text fields. For example, the text description
of employment sectors can exceed 200 characters in length, while the standard
corresdponding code fills fewer than ten characters.
User-Modifiable Reports:
As an addition to the standard reports provided with XPDNC Dues, you are able
to modify the reports to get exactly the information you need. Being able to
output just the records you need helps reduce scanning over the vast amounts
of unusable paper that can accompany large database reports.
Previewing of Report Data:
XPDNC Dues allows you to view the records of a report on your screen before
actually printing the report.
Export of Report Data:
XPDNC Dues reports can be exported to database and spreadsheet file formats
so you can incorporate your data in other applications.
Locate and Locate Next:
Locating the required record among hundreds or thousands of similar records
is a snap using the Locate feature. All successive records matching the user-
specified search criteria can be found in turn using the Locate Next feature.
Multi-Level Password Protection:
XPDNC Dues maintains an account for each person who will be using the program.
Each user may be given different "access rights" within the program. For
example, a particular user may be given the right to view dues data, but
not to edit sensitive information about members, such as their remittance
histories.
Hot key Help:
XPDNC Dues comes with context sensitive help for the beginner as well as
the advanced user. Help about the field contents, form in which the field
appears, and process in which the form occurs is displayed in both view
and edit modes.
Lookup Select Codes and Descriptions:
XPDNC Dues forms are easily filled with consistent field values by selecting
them from the Lookup Select tables. By maintaining the same code from record
to record, you can be certain that missplelling or vague references are
virtually eliminated.
Modifiable Lookup Select Tables:
Many fields within the XPDNC Dues program are coded fields. Some codes are
completely defined by you, and are used to track standard information about
each member account. During data entry, all coded fields are supported by
a lookup select form which allows you to choose from the codes which apply
to the field you are editing.
Expected Dues Recalculation:
Member's dues remittances be can recalculated when the pay rate changes take
effect. Further, by having access to the overall amount of dues to be remitted
your organization can budget for the future more effectively.
Postal Codes and Zip Code accessible:
XPDNC Dues provides access to both US and Canadian postal formats. Futher, the
Zip format is supported. Province, territory and US state abbreviations are also
provided.
Mail Label Reports:
Several mail label variations are supported including full first name, initialzed
first name, two column and three column labels per page.
Fast entry of dues remittance values:
When updating dues remittance from an employer, XPDNC Dues permits you to add new
pay rate values, member accounts and initiation fees quickly and easily.
Remittance Check Reports:
The total amount of dues remitted from the employer on behalf of their employees
can be summed up and compared with the total dollar value of the checks received.
Differences in these values can be quickly corrected.
Annual Revenue Reports:
The overall revenue for the calendar year is simple to order up using XPDNC Dues.
Revenue from an individual member, separate bargaining unit, or any employer can
also be called up for inspection.
